Born Antoine Johnson, Tank Law played a similar role to many inner city youths, running the streets, gang banging, drug dealing, so trouble always seemed to find him. His single mother worked two jobs, so she was rarely there to guide him, leaving the culture of the streets and gangs to raise him. Growing up in this environment, young Tank knew he had a talent for sports so, he tried to go in a positive direction and play football. He loved and excelled at football, but it was secondary and keeping it true to his homies was always primary. Even the losses of his beloved sister Monty Johnson and his best friend since birth Brandon Madlock couldn't keep him out of trouble. The streets had a fierce grasp on his life that couldn't be broken. The turning point in his life came when his close friend had an unfortunate situation, he explains “My best friend got caught with 40 kilos outside of Houston and he told the police I was involved and I wrote a song about it, its on my myspace, called The Wrong. I was on bond, I jumped bail and I was wanted, so being in the house all day. The music was all I had”. Armed with desire, passion and determination, Tank decided to pursue his love of rap music. He hit the game with fury, displaying incomparable talent and undeniable song making skills. The hit making team, the Drum Squad was an influential part of his development. The Drum Squad equipped him with some of their best tracks inspiring him to write street classics that the hood embraced. “They told me I could do it and they have been there throughout every phase of my career. They gave me my first beat.” Tank and the Drum Squad are currently developing an underground street album that will surely have the streets on smash. Tank has goals and plans for his future in the music business, “Well currently I have my own record label, my own studio, 8 signed Artists, 3 Producers, Dj's, and Graphic Design Artists. Messiah Muzik, LLC. Be on the look out. Eventually I want to be a major. I've done all this in 1 year in the rap game”. When asked what he wants to be to be known for in the music industry, “I'm not trying to be crowned the best rapper alive, or freestyle king, I'm just gonna be me and if you fuck with me because of that, as long as I'm breathing, I will never let you down!”
