Steady Machete is a three-piece Indie/Electro Rock band from Salt Lake City, Utah. Eric Hofer, lead singer and guitarist, started the band with his brother, Tommy Hofer, bassist, in Richmond, VA. In their efforts to get serious about the band, they regrouped in Utah and brought in Jake Moran on drums. The individual talents of all three have helped Steady Machete to create a sound that is equal parts rock and dance. Local critics, fans, and DJs have compared Steady Machete to a mix between Depeche Mode and Against Me! as well as the likes of Muse, The Bravery, The Arctic Monkeys, and The Faint.
