About Stare at the Sun

Portrait of Stare at the Sun
Stare at the Sun is a fun and energetic indie rock band from Bridgewater Massachusetts. Each member takes in valuable influences such as Death Cab For Cutie, Jimmy Eat World, 311 and others to create a sound that many people can enjoy.

Stare at the Sun began in January 2006 as a side-project between Rob and Sage; the original name was Silent Via Severity. Rob and Sage were involved with separate bands at the time, but they began to write together more and more as their other bands were starting to split up. By March, they had 3 songs recorded, but they needed at least one more member to perform live. This is when Evan joined the band.

By August 2006 the three members had a full length album done, and from then until the new year, they played a great deal of shows. At that point, the band began recording their second LP, and that is what you hear playing today. During the summer of 2007, Shawn was added as a fourth member, solidifying what the band is today.

Bonjour ROB,SAGE,EVAN and SHAWN; I'm french and don't speak a good english, so excuse me for my funny comment. First you have a great sound, it's very pleasant to hear your songs sending you a comment in the east of France. Sure it's not the same but sometimes I think to Nada Surf .Now you have one fan more. Am I the first in France? I think you really can help me. I'm supporting french guys called YULESBAND. Could you go on their page, listen to their sound and send a comment about it. Don't forget to be a fan if you like them. Thanks a lot. Hope to read you soon. I'll be there if you need help for voting. Take care. Pierre
