Their music is a unique mix of Days of the New-style acoustic guitars, Portishead-like electronics and heavy-guitars reminiscent of Staind and Linkin Park built around a powerful singer whose vocal style ranges from Alanis Morissette, to Incubus. Their 2007 debut LP entitled "Echoes" is written, recorded, produced and performed by Kira and CT. The fusion of Kira's lyrics and vocal melodies and CT's guitar bass, programming and production work form the basis of a fresh sound that uniquely melds sonic strength with emotional truth and vulnerability.

Shadows Lie site among their diverse influences Incubus, Alice In Chains, Bjork the Crystal Method and Sevendust. The often times aggressive yet hauntingly beautiful music that results, invokes comparisons to fellow female fronted rock bands Evanescence and Lacuna Coil.
