Seratonin Telegram should rock out at Rothbury and should be considered, because we stand out from the crowd. Our music is unlike any other band in Chicago. We have our own sound, and do not follow any of the trends that blow through the windy city. Our name invokes the idea of our music acting as a telegram to your brain to alter your mood much in the way the neurotransmitter serotonin also affects peoples' moods.

Seratonin Telegram is an amalgam consisting of a displaced troubadour, a shamanistic reverend, a physical manifestation of Atlas with an "axe", and a neophyte of Dali proportions. Spawned from the murky swamps of the lower Mississippi River and emigrated via red ruby slippers to Chicago, Seratonin Telegram seeks to blend melodic voicings with innovatively driven guitars careening over billowing cloudbursts of bass and tempestuously grooving rhythms into a style hearkening back to times seemingly forgotten, desires rooted and blossoming in the here and now, and epiphanies realized only by forward progress in the 4th dimension. Our lyrics address pertinent issues that are occurring as time passes, sometimes addressing two to three subjects at the same time.

The band's philosophy rests in exciting musicians, exciting listeners, and most importantly, exciting themselves. Currently, the Telegram are playing their songs live and plotting the successive steps necessary to achieve musical divination. The Telegram now have a revamped MySpace page and will soon have a website up and running. In regard to songs, in the next few months Seratonin Telegram will embark upon the voyage of recording new material - the remaining songs from the double album Fear of the Temple Crown.
