Don Sean aka "Sean Moritz"
In March of 2005, life took a blow at Sean Harrison, by losing his mother to cancer.
He had just decided that he was going back to the first passion and love of his life, Music.
Life just had to make sure that he remained humble, because he had to return to his home town of Greenwood, SC.
Once he returned home, he found out that his father was diagnosed with cancer as well.
Juggling a full time job, caring for his father, and working on a music career was starting to take its toll on Sean.
Then his father had a slight set back and Sean was needed at home full time to care for him.
This is when the decision was made to pursue music full time and care for his father.
The exiting of Sean Harrison and the Introduction of Don Sean aka "Sean Moritz" and BLOCKHOUSE PRODUCTIONS.
Born in Jamaica Queens, NY, but raised in Greenwood, SC. Don Sean found out quickly,
that it was all about sink or swim in the south. The things he learned and where taught he took with him,
when he went abroad to see the world. They where the tools he needed to survive and continue on this journey call life.
Some of the decision he made got him into trouble, others gave hime praise and gratification.
But without a little struggle from time to time, then life would be boring and there would be nothing to learn or gain.
By the time Don Sean graduated High School, he play a host of instrument. Everything in a Concert, Symphony,
or Orchestra's percussion section, including the Piano. He also played around with some horns as well,
the trombone and trumpet. But percussion was his choice of instrument. He never learned to play a trap set,
but can arrange the music for one as if he has all his life. Winning numerous awards for many local,
state and national competition, he was soon, since the 7th grade, to be one of the best. Some of the choices we make though,
can change that really fast.
Don Sean started spiraling really fast. He enlisted in the military for awhile. While in and once out,
he continued to play the music of the streets. That music, he didn't realize would get him in a lot of trouble.
But what doesn't kill us only makes us stronger. That's what he told himself every day until he regained his freedom, to beat his drum to a different tune.
That brings you to his Present. His Future. His What's To Come.
Its been a hard road, and it hasn't smoothed out just yet, but Don Sean is ready for the journey. LETS RIDE!
