Widely regarded as one of the Northwest’s up and coming singer/songwriter talents. His unique sound, powerful performances and genuine character have garnered him both local and national radio airplay, and tour slots with some of today’s best artists. In 2006, Russell shared the stage with several national touring artists, such as Augustana, Anna Nalick, Josh Radin, Mat Kearney and more.

Born and raised in Sydney Australia, Russell migrated to the US at the age of 19. After playing guitar for several prominent local bands, Russell decided to branch out and pursue and solo career. After finding his voice with Grammy nominated vocalist, Chrissy Faith, he immersed himself into his music and song writing.

With his debut album, Freshwater (May 2005), Russell wanted to break out of the a-typical singer/songwriter platform and make a full featured, diverse compilation of songs. Recorded in his home studio, Russell performs on all instruments, achieving a genuinely unique album.

In 2008, Russell released a much awaited follow-up to Freshwater. Fittingly titled "Between You & I", he continued his efforts to break out of typical singer/songwriter restraints. The album weaves from the adult contemporary sounds of "Taking Me (from yesterday)", to the all out rocker, "Everytime I come down" with a cohesive sound that’s very unexpected. Joined by guitarist Kevin Hahn and drummer Mike Johnson, "Between You & I" is a testament to the diverse songwriting taste of this young band.
