ABOUT ME;
I was 5 years old, it was my Mothers Birthday, that afternoon my father came home early from work and surprised her with the delivery of a new piano. as they were bringing it in, I knew at that minute that I was interested in checking it out. So, that evening they brought me and my brother upstairs to put us to bed as usual, only I had a different plan. after awhile I snuck out of my room and stood at the top of the stairs to watch my mother play the piano for company they had that evening for her party. My brother was cool and backing me up because he played guitar at that time so he loved that fact that I was into an instrument. Anyway, my mother was playing the song fur elise' by Ludwig van Beethoven and has always loved classical music. Well, somehow my uncle saw me at the top of the stairs and I got in trouble and sent back to bed. Still until this day I don't get how he saw me, anyway, for some reason I could not sleep, I remember like it was yesterday, so I waited and waited until I knew everybody was sleeping and I went downstairs and quietly opened up the piano lid to play, and after I opened it quietly what was I thinking I was going to do at 3 in the morning?play silently, yes, anyway I was 5 years old so give me a break! well I started playing, I don't really know how. All I know is I was playing what I saw my mother play earlier that evening from watching her from the top of the stairs. I really don't know how I did it? anyway. needless to say I woke them up and probably the neighbors too now that I think about it, but they did let me finish the song for some reason and just stared, but nevertheless I got in trouble, but it was worth it to me. That is when I officially started playing piano, at the age of 5. I've been addicted to the piano ever since that day.
I could never imagine anything more spiritually connected to my soul than music, it is the essence of my being and everything I live and breathe for. So relax, close your eyes and enjoy my musical emotionally driven' instrumental piano dreamscape.
