About Phil Bennett

Hi I'm Phil Bennett and I am a songwriter.
I am Missouri born and raised,but moved to Nashville in 2002 to further my songwriting career.
I have been writing/performing music all my life and will continue to. I play guitar and drums. I was influenced by acoustic sounds of the 70's like; James Taylor, Jim Croce and John Denver. I try to write from the heart and tell a story that makes you feel something.
I have two amazing kids/adults that are very talented musically. I hope somehow that me following my dreams has inspired them to do the same.
I finally found a girl that I love more than my guitar. She has supported me and inspires me to keep the faith.
So, I am currently working on some new songs and recording demos and I hope to have some new tunes uploaded soon. I am also shopping for a serious Nashville-based publisher that will help me get my songs into the right hands.

Hey all, The majority of the people on my friends list are songwriters who put their heart and soul into creating their music. But sometimes we just listen to a few seconds and go on past. Lately I have been making an effort to listen to every song they have posted. It is truly amazing how many incredibly talented songwriters there are out there. Plus…these are tunes you may never get a chance to listen to anywhere else.
