Pamela Wiebe- It's a New Day
The 11 songs on Pamela's debut album, "It's a New Day" have been birthed throughout her exciting journey with the Lord. She considers them gifts from God, so she hopes that each one is as much of a blessing to you as they have been to her. The first single released off the CD is "God Never Fails". It rose to #23 on the PowerSource Inspirational Country Billboard. She wrote it the day her boyfriend was killed in a car accident. They were only 18 on that terrible day of destiny, but she learned a heart-wrenching lesson that has carried her on to lighter times. She created a video in honor of the 30th anniversary of his death that she would like for you to please watch and give some feed-back. It deals with the sovereignty of God and the fact that none of us is exempt from pain. Pain is a universal language that seeks hope - hope that relief is coming and that there is a greater purpose for it all. Through tragic experiences we can discover that life is unpredictable but God is faithful. He is love and love never fails.
Pamela writes: "The lyrics of the songs I've written and recorded give a glimpse of what I have found to be the answer to getting from where I am to where I want to be. It's a life-time process.
I am a former juvenile corrections chaplain for the State of Texas (TYC). My husband Garry and I, also served as CPS foster parents for 14 years. Working with troubled youth (and adults) has been a big part of our lives. We have witnessed the power of prayer in many lives. I have a Master’s degree in counseling, but I've found that there are not enough degrees in this world that can do what the Great Counselor can do(Is. 9:6).
Along with singing and speaking engagments, I have recently piloted a local cable TV program called "Beyond Gates". This gives me a forum to discuss the many life issues that can incarcerate us not only physically, but in our minds. Hidden hurts and secret sins can be holding us captive and we not even be aware of it. Our past doesn't have to dictate our future. It is my mission to help people get beyond whatever gates that hold them back from being all they were created to be.
. . . our background and circumstances may have
influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.
I am very glad that I found OurStage because it has led me to some pretty amazing people. I am finding out that none of us are very different when it comes to life’s struggles. I’m so glad that I discovered that there is a very personal God that cares enough to pay attention to each one of us individually . All the songs I have posted (I write all my own) have special messages of hope in them. Each one represents a phase of my life. I hope that you are blessed as you listen to them. Thanks to each of you that have left me encouraging notes.
