Oblivious Signal was founded in 2003 by former Furax drummer, Jason Talley and former Borderline Pathetic guitarist, Nick Orisino. Jason and Nick were introduced through a relative of Nick's who worked with Jason during that period. Eventually the two musicians paired up occasionally and started to write music which eventually would become their project, Oblivious Signal. After writing several songs, Jason invited former Furax front man, Eric to be their vocalist, which he agreed to.
For over one year of searching for a bassist, Oblivious Signal found the key to complete their line up and entered the studio to record their first demo featuring such songs as, "These Eyes", "False Dreams" and "Expressionless". After such effort, the band parted ways with Eric and their bassist, leaving Nick and Jason on a search once again to fill the band's line up.
In 2007 Oblivious Signal found bass player, Jesse Iglesias, and former Altered Wills vocalist, Cristina T. Feliciano. With two new members in the band, Oblivious Signal had a fresh start with a new sound, and a new vision. The band underwent the songwriting process, and soon enough started playing more local events in 2008. During their first official show together, the band was showcased during a Metal Night local concert event. The band's power packed performance gave them a positive crowd response -so positive, that the owner of the venue personally asked them if they would come back for future events and shows.
In April, after creating a buzz in the local Ft. Lauderdale scene, Oblivious Signal went into the studio with Cristina and Jesse to record new versions of "These Eyes" and "Breathe", as well as, "Death Becomes My Friend" and "City in Flames".
After the release of their demo, the band was ranked in the top 20 of unsigned Metal Music charts on Myspace.com. The band has also been booked for festivals and major benefit shows. Oblivious Signal truly are a Melodic Metal experience that will leave you wanting more!
