Be sure to return to this page for updates on whats popping. J-Mar originally born in Spokane, moved to Seattle, WA just before he entered high school. At a young age he discovered his gift of story telling in rhymes. J-Mar and his cousin Young’n would challenge each other and later formed the group Northwest Heathens. J-Mar spent time down south and in the Midwest, where he grew as an artist and developed his style. His style consists of combinations of all aspects of places where he has lived, bringing you a mixture of the south, mid-west and the north. Over the years J-mar has grown to become one of the sickest MCs in the Northwest, hence the name J-Mar Da Sik. J-Mar graduated from The Evergreen State College with degree in Marketing Music. After graduation he expressed interest in Du4Self Records and became co-owner. Currently Du4Self Records presents "J-Mar Da Sik", featuring his freshmen album "GO GET IT". The album "Go Get It" is not only a phrase that became the first single, it's a way of life applied early in his childhood years from Spokane to Seattle. J-Mar encourages people from all walks of life to set goals, follow their dreams and go get it. “Go Get It” is a mindset of self determination, setting goals and not stopping until achieving satisfactory results. J-Mar has shared the stage with artists such as Method Man and Masta Killa of Wu-Tang Clan, Devin the Dude, Spice One, Clipse, G-Unit's Young Buck, Bubba Sparks, Duna and J-Diggs from the Hyphy Movement. J-MAR is not your typical west coast rapper, he has a gutter sound that manifest a real life perspective of urban living in the Northwest. He represents the north side of the west coast to the fullest.
