I’ve played the piano since I was six, and pounded on it since I was tall enough to climb onto the bench. I hoped to be a concert pianist, but found I had as much fun improvising as I did practicing. At some point, it occurred to me that I could change my focus to composing, and refer to my playtime as work.

Since then I’ve earned a BFA from the University on Wisconsin-Milwaukee in Music Composition and Technology, studied composition with Ron Foster and Keith Carpenter, and piano with Judit Jaimes, Elena Abend, and Martha Galvin. I’ve written scores for four independent films, as well as other video projects such as movie trailers and advertisements. My classical pieces have been programmed on several UWM concerts.

My instrumental and electronic music is often simple, clean, and melodic in style. I try to write every piece because I feel it needs to be written, and not because I have to come up with something for the next project.

I hope my love for the structured blending of sound comes across in every one of my pieces, and that through it I am able to convey to you an appreciation for life that I can’t put into words.
