Over the past 2 years LORD-X-ODUS, who's real name is Lord Osunfarian Xodus, was born and raised in Chicago, IL, has gotten serious about his carrer as a hip hop MC.

XODUS=THE JOURNEY, SYMBOLIC FOR THE FOUNDATION & A NEW BEGINNING.

LORD-X-ODUS has close to 10 years of experience in creative expression but his journey as a hip hop artist has been much more short-lived. After gaining recognition from a national Chicago Talent Search competition, LORD-X-ODUS began to take his craft more seriously. Initially disgusted with the decline of interest for creative, soulful, heart-felt music, LORD-X-ODUS, decided not complain about the current system but become a voice to showcase a current a different side to the music. LORD-X-ODUS' mission is not to change music fans minds but to find those nostalgic and pure hip hop lovers and create music for them. "If 49 states aren't feeling my music but 1,000 Eskimos purchase my cd, I'd back my bags and go to Alaska for an igloo concert tour."

LORD-X-ODUS is rooting for hip hop. He represents all that is pure hip hop, the creativity, soul, passion and true love for the art form that originated and developed from the rebellious freedom expressionist cries. He embodies a unique ability to recognize the pioneers of the music, while embracing the evolution of hip hop and it's sound. Just as the sun is always present, during our warmest days and darkest nights, LORD-X-ODUS aims to represent the same complexities about life. "My songs are about life, which is sometimes basic & other times complex. Good or bad I strive for my music to reflect everything, from the hood to Hollywood you will hear hear it all in my music because that is what life is about."

LORD=ELEVATION: A LEADER OF GREAT POWER & INFLUENCE

When asked about his career aspirations, LORD-X-ODUS is quick to dismiss the media's fools gold glitz and glamour. He is more grounded in creating a strong underground movement as an independent artist. Through his music LORD-X-ODUS aims to teach others about his experiences along the way. His mission is not to glorify that life but to help others gain valuable lessons from him through his music. When asked the source for his inspiration to start recording, his philosophy is, why not; "Everybody has a story or testimony to tell, well here is mine."
LORD-X-ODUS' main influence for music was the rebellious freedom and creative avenue it gave to inner city youth as a way out and a sign of relief . What originally started as a way to relieve cats from stressful scenarios, in the ghetto, by allowing MC's to entertain at parties and talk trash with rhyming words, witty lyrics, & catchy hooks, has evolved into a billion dollar industry. Throughout its evolvement hip hop has remained as unpredictable as when it first got it's official title as a legitimate musical art form and talent.
"The current styles and topics played on mainstream is just as important as underground, to hip-hop/rap music. Without one or the other, there would be no disagreeable.agreeable grounds to build upon, and therefore would have no substance and longevity. That being said, I AM HIP HOP."

PERSONAL STATEMENT: "I don't believe hip hop is dead, but that the original style, form, and metaphoric lyrical substance has taken a backseat to mainstream industry expectations as far as financial potential. It's in hibernating hiatus, until a certain mental & spiritual consciousness awakens it from its sleep. My music represents the awakening."
