About lightsresolve
Lights Resolve is a three-piece alt-rock outfit from NY.
“Go back, come around again, look back, see what’s left of them. Learn from the mistakes of the suffering” – The Suffering
Some dwell on the past and others get caught up in the future; Lights Resolve is a musical venture that draws upon both and lives in the now. Matthew Reich (vocals, guitar), Neal Saini (drums), and Sherman (bass, piano, vocals) were all members of a former band together. After experiencing the high and low points of a group dynamic that lasted over eight years, the three tight-knit musicians have built their new band around the concepts of friendship, respect, loyalty, and partnership.
Reich says, “Most artists use the trite phrase, "It's all about the music, man." Well...I disagree in this case. This band is all about the people involved; the music is merely a by-product of the three musicians interacting with each other. We live for sharing the stage with one another.”
The result of this mentality has led to a gritty, but classy alternative-rock, dub-influenced trio, Lights Resolve. With soaring, rhythmic vocal approaches, dynamic and ambient guitars and keyboards, thundering groove bass lines, and intricate, hammering drums, the band has really found a voice of its own. Though each song has its own particular feel and style, all of the compositions are tied together with groove-oriented, dynamic, and cinematic qualities.
The band's debut release, Prelude, was supported by two national tours and several east coast stints. The band's second EP release, entitled Currency, was released at the start of April in conjunction with the Rockstar Energy Drink/Samsung Mobile Get A Life Tour w/ The Used, Street Drum Corps, Straylight Run and Army of Me. The band has spent the last year tirelessly traveling from coast to coast, honing their live craft and engaging the people of the States with all the enthusiasm in the world with no sign of slowing down.
