Nam-myoho-renge-kyo winner 1st ballot vote 2007 Grammies
Nam-myoho-renge-kyo: Music by Kelly McClain, lyrics by Kelly & Carla Taylor. NMRK won the 1st ballot vote in the Grammies in "Best song of the year" Category in 2007. The power in this song has been incredible. Just listen and feel the honest love that has reached out to thousands of people, and made them think and feel a little differently about love and life.
Nam-myoho-renge-kyo was written for complete happiness, and dedicated to World Peace & Kosen Rufu. May it help in our journey to free this world of all the negativity that we see and hear. We pray our vibrations will help everyone that listens.
David Freiberg of Jefferson Starship & Quicksilver Messenger Service mixed, sang on the chorus, co-produced, and recorded Nam-myoho-renge-kyo at his studio (FreeMountain Studios) in 2006 in the city of Novato California. Linda Imperial sang on the chorus and background vocals, and co-produce NMRK. Linda currently travels and performs with Starship and Quicksilver. David and Linda were a wonderful influence in the outcome of NMRK. We feel very fortunate to have them as our friends. There were also other Buddhist friends that performed on NMRK: Bonnie Hunter, Ro Rigney, Teri Keyser, Kurt Huget, Roberta Donnay, and Daria.
