"The unexpected death of my mother is what pushed me into country music" answers Jim Van Fleet to the question that's been asked so many times, "what made you pursue the live stage when you have such a cool job already?"
Jim recalls those moments just before the decision was made to pursue his lifelong dream.
"I got a call at 2:30am just before Mother's Day weekend 2003 to return home to Oklahoma and bury my mother who had just passed at only 49 years old. It's been the hardest and worst experience of my entire life. I was only 28. She was my rock, my sanity, and my best friend. I was devastated."
"A lot of things are cloudy and numb from that time but I will never forget standing over her grave and thinking about how much of her life she, and all of her family and friends were cheated out of. I said right then and there I would finally face my fear's of failing, and rejection and would pursue my biggest dream in life...to be a successful Country Artist."
Jim Van Fleet (yes the Weatherman on FOX Television) is the front man and lead vocalist for one of the Southeast's hottest country music bands performing right now. Jim's passion for music mixed with an energetic "Live" show makes for a unique connection with every audience. Aaron Tippin said..."It's just a matter of time for that guy" (to be discovered.)
Over the the last few year's The Reign have opened up for some of Country Music's best in the business. Artist's such as Sugarland, Gretchen Wilson, Chris Cagle, Hank Williams Jr., LeAnn Rimes, Blake Shelton, Tracy Lawrence, Dwight Yoakam, Terri Clark, Joe Nichols, Sara Evans, David Allen Coe, and Tracy Byrd have all performed together at concerts throughout the Southeast.
They have also played in front of thousands of people at local festivals like, Sea World’s “Bud & BBQ Festival, Leesburg’s Bikefest, Cocoa Beach’s Springfest, and Zellwood’s famous "Sweet Corn Festival".
"You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet" is the second album from this Florida based band and is the follow up to last year's "Not Enough Ground".

My mom was also my rock and she was probably my biggest fan. She passed at the young age of 55 in Dec 2005. I know that she is now in the arms of Jesus and she is dancing and praising. Good luck on your career and hope to catch a show sometime.
God bless,
Eric Jerome Brodberg

I worked with The Weather Girls!!!!
Anyway, Welcome to Ourstage.
Ben told me to come over and check you out, so I´m here listening to your tunes. You sound great. Good tunes, nice voice. Looks like you´re working, and getting the word out there. I mean, already being a well known personality on FOX TV should definitely help.
Good luck to you.
