Listening to Jacob S. Harris, you are immediately made aware this is not just another predictable singer-songwriter.
A fine purveyor of old-world tunes, his past two releases (‘Shackles & Chains’, 2005 and ‘Lady Juliana’, 2006) have been met with high acclaim, “The settings are sparse, acoustic, hovering like a morning fog on the creek, focusing the attention on the timeless imagery and haunting melodies, some of which might just as easily been written in 1906 as 2006” (Noel Mengal, Courier Mail).

Sincere and insightful glimpses into the human condition- this is Harris’ forte, and his songs lend themselves to an achingly beautiful solo performance. Still, when backed by his occasional band The Morning Belles, further sentiment arrives to the music and it’s an equally arresting experience.
