APRIL 09! I'm gonna release my first official remix for a famous artist, coinciding with the release of his new second album. This British soul singer has been acclaimed both for his first album and for his collaborations as vocalist for awesome bands Nightmare on Wax ans Zero7. Working with none-the-less Jon Hopkins (Frou-Frou) or Guy Sigworth (Madonna), I'm honoured to be the first to release a remix for his second opus. But who is it? Bio:

IceSixxx is an electronica composer and arranger from Belgium, aged 35. The variety of his style goes from pure electro to techno, from industrial to ambient, from trance to trip-hop, from downtempo to electro-disco and many more.

Once a rock singer for several years, he decided to change his creation process and to work alone. After months of learning gears, he started to compose his first album.

He released his debut album 'MeKaNiKaLZ' on January 2008 for free via Mininova.org Featured Content Distribution. This instrumental album explores the wide range of electro styles IceSixxx is playing and leads you through an epic journey of 20 tracks. As of today, it has already been downloaded more than 25.000 times! Self-produced, self-distributed and self-promoted? As a new artist, he thought this was a nice way to make a name in the music scene.

And it worked: English artist Mozez (myspace.com/mozezofficial), former singer of Nightmare on Wax and Zero 7, noticed him and asked him to remix one track of his upcoming album 'The Absolute', due end of April 2009! 'Search for Her' will be the first official remix from this album as well as for IceSixxx. Belgian-Bulgarian band 'Jailhouse Chili' (myspace.com/jailhousechilimusic) asked him to re-arrange some of their tracks in a very different style than electronica: the result is "When Angels Sleep" that can be heard on IceSixxx debut album as a bonus track. On March 2008, he finished at the 15th place over 1600 artists in the You Bring The Talent contest held by Uber.com and Atlantic Records. He even finished 1st in the electronica genre! Recently, Belgian band Les Vedettes asked him to create a remix for their second single "Grand Con": it's almost done and should be out soon.

In Summer 2008, IceSixx released three music videos for the tracks "Messiah" by Mark Rigler, "Pacman's Revenge" by Jacob Rendell and "Das Machine" by Chantal Oakes.

IceSixxx is actually writing new material in separate genres: a themed album about the Burning Man festival, a minimalist electro chiptune album and an electro-disco album. He is also working on multiple solo projects, some of them on which he will sing again, some for other artists.

IceSixxx is still searching collaborations with other artists and bands to do remixes and arrangements. Some are already in progress and will sure leads to new excellent tunes...

The projects for 2009: release of three new albums, several solo project for himself and remixes for others, new music videos, audiovisual show, formation of a new elctro-rock band, advertising work,...
