About Hurricane Cletis

Portrait of Hurricane Cletis
Hurricane Cletis
A storm is brewing around Hurricane Cletis in the Saskatchewan music scene. After a year of writing and searching for band-mates brothers Greg, Darren, and Rob Dyck joined forces with JK and Chris Smith.

They knew they had the right lineup when only months after forming they went to compete against over 50 bands in the 2006 Rock 102 and the Roxy on Broadway’s ‘Ultimate Band Warz’. Judged by industry moguls Ralph James (The Agency Group) and Steve Blair (Head of A&R Warner Music Canada) Hurricane Cletis
was chosen as the winners.

Combining sounds of their influences from yesterday and today (Motley Crue, Godsmack, Nickelback), the band has created a punchy, driving collection of songs. Their self titled debut was produced by Ryan Andersen, who has worked on
projects such as Nickelback’s ‘The Long Road’ and ‘All The Right Reasons’. Andersen’s other credits include working with the bands, Thornley, Hinder, and Theory Of A Deadman.

Hurricane Cletis boasts hard rockin’ songs like 'Disgusted’ and 'Break You' while tracks like 'Stained' and ‘Little While’ show a more vulnerable side. Since it's release 'Disgusted' has been receiving regular airplay across the province. Hurricane Cletis has a must see live show that screams out their get off your ass and party
attitude.
