Biography

In a small town not far from the big city of Toronto there’s a growing place called Maple, in the heart of Vaughan. In the summer of 2006 a five piece hardcore/screamo band came together for the first time as one. With all members coming from different bands of different genres and ambitions, there’s was no telling what those boys could do next. After many months of fussing over names and songs the words Hero from the Start arose and a new name was born. After months and months of experimenting with different song styles, different positions, different members, different sounds, crowds and venues, H.F.T.S. came down to something the band and public could agree on. Armed with their ambitions, goals, beliefs, and positions all in line the boys got ready for the long haul. Music and lyrics are based on life, love, and religion as the band continues on their journey writing new music that captivates the audience and brings them to a whole new level with their compelling music and live stage energy. Currently work on their latest, and first, EP “Screaming Confessions” has wrapped up and has been taking the small town of Maple by storm. The long awaited EP was released in early November 2007, with the first run of cds selling out in days.
