About Four Lincolns
Once described as the Indigo Girls meets Blondie, Four Lincolns are a Grand Rapids, MI, based band that has been working together since 1996. The music tends to take on a rooot rocks vibe, with an acoustic guitar driving the rhythm. The vocal interplay between lead singer Sarah Keen and rhythm guitarist Jim Mason are a signature of the band. The lyrics often times are of a protest nature and therefore, because of this and the acoustic guitar, the band has been dubbed as folk rock... In their hay day the Four Lincolns placed in several local rock contests and also had a song (Everything She Touches) chosen off of their 2003 LP by national artist, Michelle Malone, for a compilation put out by her southern label. Currently the group gets together occassionally to do a live show, including the upcoming Grand Rapids Festival of the Arts.
