Forsaken was born in the summer of 1999 out of true love of real metal by Shawn and Franc. Many Musicians have come and gone through but have definitely left their mark with the band. In 2002, Forsaken really started thrashing with the addition of vocalist Keith. With his vocals and the fullness of the bands dual guitar attack, Forsaken started to come into it's own, as one of Detroit’s heaviest metal bands. Tom joined on guitar and Rick on the drums in 2007, and Franc returned on Bass in 2008 making this the best line up yet. Forsaken has recorded a 3 song demo in 2003 and 2007, now is in the process of finishing up their first full-length CD. They have opened up for nationals including Lamb of God, Fear Factory, Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Strapping Young Lad, Dark Tranquility, Hypocrisy, Mnemic, Super Joint Ritual, Opeth, Devildriver, Children of Bodom, Darkane, Throwdown, Overkill, Moonspell, Slithryn, Sanctity and many others. They have played everywhere in Detroit, all over Michigan and some out of state shows.
