Falling In Two is unquestionably one of the most creative and unique bands working in North Carolina today. The music is constantly evolving, ranging from Classic Rock to Alternative to Hard Rock and a compendium of other sounds and genres in between.

The band is fronted by Jacob Smotherman who is well-known for his work as a solo artist, recording and releasing songs making it on to radio airplay and toping the charts on Garage band. He also had several other projects, performing with local and regional musicians.

The band was formed as a self-indulgent creative outlet for Smotherman, once the band was completed however, it became a beast of its own, and the name “Falling In Two” was created. The first CD release was the self titled Demo ‘Falling In Two” in 2007.

In late 2006, the project was solidly on its way and within a very short period, the band was performing live. Over the next months the band performed live one to two times a week leaving several days open for writing new music and spending time in the studio listening and tweaking the newly written music.

Since the release of the self titled demo the bands recognition has grown substantially, having been asked to perform at the Coca Cola 600, Charlotte Motor Speed Way, Crown Expo Center for the Rockin Wheels Event and most venues either having them headline or open for Major and Indie Touring acts.

In January 2008, recording commenced on the band’s next series of tracks. Since the demo was really never finished, they will not only add several additional tracks to the demo but finish the original tracks. The bands goal is to have a 10 song CD completed by the end of the year, and releasing tracks as they are finished through their myspace player and individual songs can be purchased and downloaded with the snocap mp3 player.
