Center Drive is a classic rock “Three-O” whose members each have 25 years
or more musical experience as well as decades of live performing
experience.
Based in the Aurora, IL area west of Chicago, Center Drive has gone
through numerous personnel changes since its formation in 1993 by lead
guitarist Explosive Joseph. However Joseph considers its current lineup
featuring Drummer Mark Sticks and Bass player, Lead vocalist, Dave O, to
be the tightest version of Center Drive yet.
Center Drive’s live sets consist of a majority of hard rock, metal and
classic rock covers from the 1970’s through today by artists such as Led
Zeppelin, Van Halen, Bad Company, ZZ Top and Black Sabbath. The band also
plays a few original songs as well.
Center Drive puts on a high-energy live show that appeals to a wide
audience. They have previously played Chicago venues such as the Elbo
Room and Nite Caps as well as clubs in the Chicago area suburbs. The band
also works hard to promote its shows through its web site and email
mailing list and through flyers and press in area media outlets. Center
Drive also has access to a full PA and light system and can provide this
service if a house PA system is not available.
Whether it is their powerful live show, their musical experience and
their hard work promoting their shows, Center Drive continues to get more
recognition with each performance and are quickly building a solid
reputation as a band to watch in the Chicago area music scene.
