About Equatorline

Portrait of Equatorline
ROBB G Out of Minneapolis, many sounds have come that have captivated music lovers for decades. Native, Robb G started out an honors student with advanced studies in Audio Technical Engineering, Business Law and Business Trade. With a foundation of academics behind his craft, Robb went on to foster his love of music into a burgeoning career, gathering along the way a collective of talented musicians and songwriters. For the past decade he has enjoyed performing, writing, and co-producing the music he loves, beginning in 1991, as a dancing/singing member with Dope Creation (D.C.) to his later vocals with The FUTURE (Faith-Unity-Together-Under-Rythmatic-Ebony). His live performances have been cultivated over many stints opening for legendary industry talents such as Whitney Houston, Next, Joe, Twista, Young Bloods, Doracel, Brian McKnight, Mint Condition, Lo-Key, James Grear, Shelia Raye Charles, Don Breedlove and The Breedlove Band, and Boys 2 Men and more. Robb G most recently co-wrote and co-produced a project involving the works of the legendary Stevie Wonder, collaborating with local musicians/producers including LA (Lance Alexander), Live a Little Records and Baby Honey Productions. His current collaborative project with One Way Up Enterprises, LLC, (owned by Sheila Raye Charles, daughter of Ray Charles) is the album, Been A Long Time Comin. A collection of musical contributions and production input from Shawn J, Future Media, Red Zone Entertainment, and LSD; this stellar project displays Robb G at his most dexterous - as a writer/musician/producer. The single, My Family, is slated for a 2007 release, alongside a plethora of material from his publishing and production house - Equator Line Records. Therein he directs youth and community artists into a strong publishing hub that focuses on getting their messages of upliftment and empowerment into the mainstream media. Robb G's focus as an advocate, teaches youth how to produce, write and sharpen their musical craft. With his platform of encouragement he states 'the concept of thought before action is a powerful thing'. His 2007-2008 musical alliance with BK Music promises a potent message with an electrifying backbeat. http://www.myspace.com/equatorlinerecords
