Derrick Jackson, who is better known as the artist
D.Jackson was born on
May 3, 1985 in Newark New Jersey. He began writing songs at the age of 16. Unlike other artists who may base their lyrics on what they have heard others rap about, or what they think may appeal to their audience, D. Jackson writes about his life. The real struggles and strife he has gone through to get where he is today. He writes 100% of ALL his music even the R&B hooks but is always open to input.
This past summer D.Jackson performed in Pennsylvania at a competition called "Show Your Skills". The judges and the audience were on their feet during the whole performance, and at the end of the competition D. Jackson was awarded second place. Recently he participated in a showcase for artists, where he was asked to come back and perform two of his songs.
