It all started around 1994 when I stumbled upon my Dad's old guitar in my grandparents' attic at the age of 11. I was in fifth grade at the time. I overheard some of my classmates talking about putting a band together. I didn't know a single thing about guitar, yet I asked if I could be in the group in which they said, "Yes."
That single occurrence became the most decisive influence on the development of my personality, characteristics, and passions as I grew through childhood. My life is so revolved around music in every which way possible, if those buddies gave me a "no" instead, I would have become a completely different person than I am today.
Somehow I feel like that was supposed to happen. And if it wasn't that way, it probably would have found me some other way. I have grown into a very spiritual, deep person, who lives in a constant state of purpose, or as some like to refer it as destiny.
Writing and performing music has been my passion ever since. Following my passion in music has been my foremost dream, literally every waking second. At the age of 20, I took a leap of faith and moved from my hometown in Pittsburgh, PA to Chicago, IL to pursue my dreams in music (which I have come to realize was a stepping stone). I moved out to Los Angeles in June and am loving it. I've been through several bands. I've learned different things through each experience. The ultimate learning lesson has been the realization that my most potential and fulfillment can only be met being a solo artist.
