Coming from a family line of professional musicians, at an early age Dave Percell recognized that he also had a God given gift of music. At the age of 10, Dave began to play guitar and later learned the bass. Growing up listening to gospel, soul, pop, and rock influenced his initial style. Dave started to play for local Washington D.C. based gospel groups and studio recordings. In 1974, while in the studio a friend introduced Dave to Jazz Fusion. He started to listen to artist such as Allan Holdsworth, John Mclauphlin, and Return to Forever which included guitarist Al Di Meola. These influences greatly changed Dave’s style of playing. He eventually moved to California and continued to contour his technique. Dave was later asked to record on his friend and Gospel recording artist Chuckie Perez’s CD. He was asked to play a Spanish Flamenco style. During this project is where Dave fell in love with nylon string guitar which took him to another level. Dave then started to listen to Paco DeLucia. In pursuit of his signature style, he began to combine Jazz Fusion improvision, with a Flamenco persuasion. His upcoming CD incorporates these influences with fiery melodies, and funky back beat rhythms. Dave is now prepared to share with you this God Given gift of music.

Many talk about it, dreams about it and some even try it, but few people have the will to take accurate-consistent-forward-moving-intense-action over the long term. This is also the primary reason why most people in America who want to b...
