Colfax is a creative and energetic rock band. We formed in Minneapolis in the spring of 2003 and have since gained experience playing in a variety of local clubs and bars. What makes us different than the majority of other bands is the brotherhood that exists among the band members. We have grown up together; we live together, and believe strongly in where we are at with our music and also where we plan on taking it.
Over the past few years we have accumulated a substantial following that ranges from teenagers to baby boomers. We know how to balance original music with a crowd pleasing cover song. This ability allows us to appeal to all ages and preferences. Our music encompasses a wide variety of styles such as rock, blues, reggae, jazz, and funk. However, we spin these styles with a fresh and unique twist. Most of all, we pour everything that we have into our music and the energy we create in our live performances directly reflects this. Colfax is a homegrown Minnesota band focused on using our music to leave a lasting impression on an already thriving music scene.
