Portrait of ChaseCarter
Chase is Chase Carter (guitar, vocals and programming) / Fred DiBartelomeo (Drums and Percussion) and Simon Farmery (Bass Guitar)
Exactly why the heartland of America has historically given birth to some of rock’n roll’s most talented musicians and magnanimous
songwriters has long been a mystery.

While the conversation persists, the evidence has escalated with “After”—the powerful debut release from Chase, a Chicago-area artist whose Midwestern heredity is the driving force behind his desire to unselfishly share his heart, soul and passion for music as a spiritual language on a global scale.

The multi-talented Chase severs the margins of hard rock with self-penned music and lyrics, as well as solo performances on all instruments and vocals.
The exportation of his passion has not gone unnoticed:

Chase Carter was born on April 1st, 1975 in Alton, Illinois. He was born very late in life, his mother was 45 when she found out she was pregnant. His older sister, Janet was 8 at the time of his birth.

Chase was very artistic even at an early age. As early as preschool Chase showed signs of being artistically gifted. Drawing pictures all throughout his early age, Chase developed his artistic ability and soon gained notoriety with his classmates and friends.

His family supported all of the causes that Chase had championed over the years..short lived as some of them were. He began playing instruments in the fourth grade, which began with the violin. This later turned into the clarinet and then the piano, which eventually ended up with the guitar at the age of 15. It was the same for Chase as it was for many young, impressionable musicians. He would often fantasize about being a rock star. Chase attempted to learn music, however he was driven by his musical ear, which he had inherited from his mothers side of the family. He began writing songs as early as 16 and after graduation from high school joined up with his friend David Czerny.

David Czerny was an accomplished drummer and had a popular reputation at the high school because of it. David had a party at his house one night where he and Chase got together and performed in front of the partygoers. They all said that the two sounded like a professional band. Zach Xanders (bass guitar) and Micah Brooks (lead guitar) later joined the duo and formed Zenolith.

Zenolith was in the music scene and recorded one unreleased album until their dismemberment in summer of 1998. Chase had also married his Chicago girlfriend of 4 years Cristen Gilio that same summer.

Earlier, during his junior year in high school, Chase found himself at a career crossroads between Graphic Design and Architecture. He chose the path of Graphic Design, which allowed him the most creative freedom.

In 1998, Chase had decided that he wanted to further his education to a four year degree in Graphic Design from his previously obtained Associates degree from St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley (December 23rd, 1996) and find a better job which moved he and his wife north to Chicago in the fall of 1998.

He began his pursuit of a four-year degree in winter of 1999 at the Illinois Institute of Art in downtown Chicago, IL. He worked at Starbucks for his first half of school and became a hopeless caffeine and coffee addict. Before school was out he received his first career position at Keystroke Graphics in Naperville, IL where he sharpened and honed his skills as a Graphic Designer. Chase received his bachelor..s degree on June 15th 2002 and went to work for Masonite Corporation in West Chicago where he developed art for their inkjet printed door line known as ..InDesign... He also started his own freelance graphic design company he named Revelation Interactive.

Throughout all the years, Chase never lost his passion and pursuit of music. "After" is his first solo release and he is currently working on his second.
