* Borderline Eleven * New Hampshire *
Borderline Eleven is a group of teen guys, ages 17-23, from Hooksett, New Hampshire who started jamming in a basement for something fun to do in their spare time back in November, 2005.
Frustrated with the lack of good punk music with positive messages and clean lyrics, they set out to create their own. After mastering some carefully selected cover songs to be sure they could even play well together, they started their hand at songwriting. A monthly open mic night was available at their Concord, NH church, so they showed up at every one to test out their music. The response was very positive and encouraged them to keep going.
In the winter of 2007, they won their annual high school Battle as a sophomore band (a first) and then a local Battle in town. These events started them into serious gigging. Word of mouth spread and by the end of 2007, they had 30 performances under their belts.
Their demo turned into an EP at the request of their growing fan base, and "Pacific Wasteland" was released in the summer of 2006. Work is progressing towards their first full-length CD with an anticipated release by the end of 2008.
Borderline Eleven is a band with a heart for their generation and a desire to positively influence their world for Christ. In March 2008, they repeated as school champs (again a first) and opened for Eleventyseven and The Fold at Summer Kickoff on May 30, 2008 in Manchester, NH. In August, they will participate in SoulFest, a gig won right here on OurStage.com.
Borderline Eleven is a fun band to experience live with their catchy beats and high energy. Christian punk rock is still punk rock!
