Blessed with a great voice and a love for making people smile, Anne Marie, 15, has been delighting family, friends, congregations and audiences with her singing, dancing and acting since she was very young.

While growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area she took dance lessons, sang at church and school, and developed her vocal and acting skills as a regular with the award-winning, nationally-recognized San Jose Children's Musical Theater.

She has an older brother, Daniel (a Peace Corps volunteer in Mali, Africa), and an older sister, Amy (a senior Psychology major at UNR). Her parents are musical and have introduced Annie to singing in front of big crowds and recording in studios.

Anne Marie is an active performer! Since moving to Reno, Anne Marie has performed numerous solo concerts, acted with local theater groups and sung with an all-girl pop group. She has sung the National Anthem at this years Nevada State Democratic Convention, the Nevada Special Olympics and Reno Celebrates America 4th of July celebration. She has won talent contests, including Teen Talent Knock Out 2007, both the 2006 and 2007 Little Flower Idol Competitions, and has reached the finals for Reno Idol 2008.

Anne Marie has been awarded the prestigious 2008 Performing Artist Endowment Fund Grant by the Sierra Arts Foundation.

She was selected for the Performance Troupe of the BAC to Broadway Kids and was awarded featured roles in BAC Stage Kids productions sponsored by the Brewery Arts Center of Carson City. She also participates in Cabaret Kids of Wild Horse Productions.

Annie's dreams include a career as an entertainer and lots more fun in musical theater! She is taking vocal and piano lessons, acting workshops and performing concerts to develop her skills.

Anne Marie is a straight “A” student in high school, will attend a combination high school/college program next year, and has been chosen for the Washoe County School District Gifted and Talented Education Program.
