ANANTA--has practiced the meditation of music for 29 of her 35 years of life. Ananta has played professionally and internationally through out the West Coast and India for the last 18 years. Ananta frequents the San Francisco Bay Area and West Coast music scenes as a guest artist with various bands and artists such as Jaya Lakshmi, Gina Marie Lomonaco, Geoffrey Gordon, Chris Bramble, Daniel Paul, Manose, Andy Graham, Joanne Rand & the Band, Mystic Family Circus, Land of the Blind, Hoytus Rolen, The Spiral Mystics and others. Ananta can be spotted flittering about various festival stages such as Harmony, Earth Dance, The Mutant Festival, S.F. Earth Day Celebration, Whole Earth Festival (U.C. Davis) Picnic Day (U.C. Davis) and various yoga studios, cafes and street corners through out the world! Ananta has also taught privately for 18 years. From 2002-2004, she developed the music programs at Woodland Star and Napa Valley Charter Schools. In 2003, Ananta expanded her musical career internationally and developed a music program at CED International, a Tibetan orphanage in Dehradun, India. In 2005, Ananta taught with Napa School of Music. Ananta's most recently completed projects are being a featured violin soloist on Jaya Lakshmi's 'Sublime' album, 2008 Sequoia Records; playing violin on Swami Vishwananda's 'Love Beyond Words 2' album, 2008 Geoffrey Gordon; violin, electric violin & cello on Hoytus Rolen's album 'Hoytus', 2008 Jane Clark. Finally, Ananta co-produced her own album 'Groove Sessions', 2008 Jane Clark.

Community involvement: ANANTA is also the founder of a seedling non-profit organization, Convergent Evolutions (CE), which focuses on working within our community at various levels to help our society thrive with creativity, health and balanced well being. So that we, as a community, may continue to provide for ourselves and each other creatively, socially, healthfully and financially. To do this, Convergent Evolutions works with local business owners, local artists and local healthcare practitioners to provide grassroots healthcare and ‘alternative’ support for those in need.
