About Tracy Nicole Anderson

I started singing when I was 18. After graduation my Mom and Dad asked me what I wanted to do with my life, and I said "I want to be a country singer". They thought I was joking. Until that point, they had never heard me sing. I have always had the desire to be a singer. When I was little I would watch my Grandpa play his guitar and sing, he was influential in my desire for music. He passed away when I was 9, so he never got to see what I have done over the years, but his memory goes with me everywhere. When I was 9, I got my first guitar. I took lessons for a while, but my teacher creeped me out so I stopped and didn't start again until I was 19. After I told my parents what I wanted to do, they were very supportive and took me to every karaoke bar around. I met a lot of cool people and from there I started singing at local venues and festivals. In 1996, I started opening for Elvis Impersonators locally. Then over the next six years I worked with several impersonators throughout the state. Although I worked with impersonators, I always performed as myself. I have had the privilege of working with the best "Elvis'" such as Irv Cass, Travis Morris, and Matt King among several others. After a few years doing that and building my own fan base, I decided to take a break to deal with family matters. In 2007 I was totally blessed to catch up with one of my old friends Eric Jerome Brodberg. He is a talented musician, singer and songwriter. Through his persistent efforts, he convinced me to get reconnected with my passion for music. Since 2007, I have picked up my guitar again, and began to write my own music. Eric and I have written several songs together and we are making local live performances. We are currently working on my first CD, due out in the spring of 2009. I believe that if you have a gift, you should use it. I don't need to be rich or famous, I just need to do music.
