About Thomas Oliver

Atlanta singer/songwriter Thomas Oliver’s brand of country is straight from the rich tradition of Southern music. His original songs of livin’, lovin’ and losin’ are from a writer who’s lived a life he doesn’t pretend has been perfect but one he knows has been blessed nevertheless.

Five award-winning songs from his two CDs, plus a a live performance that's entertaining, funny and tight musically help explain his loyal following and the fact that he's been invited back to every venue he's played.

The Usual Suspects are lead guitarist Wade Watkins who can flat pick a Martin with the best of them, or crank up his Stratocaster.
Blues harpist Jake Pollard adds a unique sound and takes the vocals to a different level with his harmonies.
When expanding to a full band for the right venues, keyboardist David Leonard joins in. One of the most sought after producers in Atlanta, David plays guitar and bass as well. Rob Grove rounds out the sound on drums.

The Georgia Music Association honored four of his songs from his first CD as Best of Country. His fifth honor from GMA came with his last CD.

Thomas is a native of Atlanta where he works for a large newspaper.
The author of “The Real Coke, the Real Story” and two unpublished novels, Thomas graduated from the University of Georgia, where he spent many a night in the dorm basement and laundry room listening to Johnny Cash and Merle Haggard while others were turning on the Grateful Dead.
