The MSD Quintet
The MSD Quintet is bringing their contemporary jazz-folk sound to you from Newport, RI. MSDQ is an ensemble of traditional jazz quintet instrumentation, and have added the ingredients of Folk, Jazz, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Latin, Rock, Blues, Cajun, Funk, and Bluegrass for a nice musical flavor.

DRIVEN is the debut recording of The MSD Quintet, and it was produced by Yellowjackets' bassist Jimmy Haslip. Fellow Yellowjackets composer/keyboardist Russell Ferrante adds his talents to the title track, and percussionists Munyungo Jackson and Michito Sanchez, along with guitarist Matt Hagerty, also share their talents on DRIVEN.
