THE DROPA STONE is a musical trio collaboration stationed in Orlando, Florida. Jon Meyers (Vocals/Guitar), Tony Barbieri (Bass) and Joe Lederman (Drums) apply their creative prowess’s to establish a powerful live show highlighted by melodic vocals, spacey- textured guitar and an inventive, punching rhythm section. The Dropa Stone takes its listeners through a diverse musical background ranging from experimental hard rock, funk, blues and jazz. Priding themselves on constant evolvement and growth, their live shows feature improvisational elements such as extended jams and surprise collaborations with their favorite local musicians.
On June 14th, 2008, THE DROPA STONE released their Debut 6 track self-titled E.P. Under the direction and guidance of Producer Justin Thomas at Gridlock Studios in Casselberry, Florida, the album stands as a dynamic representation of their Avant-Garde Alternative Rock sound. Standing as a call to action regarding the current musical paradigm, The Dropa Stone is prepared to take their music to concerts and festivals all over the world.
