Calm like the Ganges
World fusion track that flows like a calm river. sitar and good percussion, accompanied by enchanting female vocals. Nice melody. It all flows peaceful like the river Ganges.
***Sounding just perfect!
I like this from the first tones on. There is a very groovy rhythm and the voices really bring a warm, exotic feeling. They sound very full and clear. The guitars are suiting very well, bringing an acoustic touch and a strong base.
The electric guitars bring more power into the song. this is sounding just perfect!
For me this song could last forever.

Spot on female lead vocals very reminscent of LeAnn Rimes Nice harmonies and musicianship. Very soothing.
***
Mellow Head and picking
A very haunting female lyric and vox offsets this very pretty mellow country song - the female lead makes this song a more unique offering than the standard country fare - very nice!

very nice
this is really nice. recording is nice and clear, simply fingerpicking is good and uncluttered. vocals are great. this is patsy cline inspired for sure. a bit of patty loveless, "dont toss us away". if you don't have her "honky tonk angel" album you'd probably like it. melody is fine, fits well with the mood of the tune and arrangement works well. good job!

CLASSYCLASSIC!
WHO WROTE THIS!!?? My GOD what an extraordinary song! NOBODY does progressions like this..not since the classic Tin Pan Alley or Berthold Brecht days..WOW!!
and by the way..WHO IS THIS GIRL!!?? She's got a delightfully rich voice, and she handles this melodically complex song without a single hiccup..and I guarantee she's one singer who will be heard from directly!
and..who produced this masterpiece?
the lyrics are genius class..and that's just the word for this entire effort...CLASS!

Vocal: very pretty voice. definitely sets the mood.
Nice jazzy ambient
Vocals are sweet and spot-on. Production is world-class.
Instrumental break is awesome and big with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra stepping into the jazz club, looking around, then leaving. I like it though. The little electronic pulsations here and there are nice as well as the muted trumpet.
Great track!

sultry singer
Moody and sultry. Got to like that. The song has an spooky feel that swirls around your senses. Vocals are engaging especially the ad libs. Nice touch with the tinkling keys and swells. Great song to set the mood for forbidden pleasures. Tasty solo that screams out with sex appeal. great job by all.
***
electronics goes with jazz
Very good ambiant sounds, it has a kind of dark feeling like the sounds of portishead and massive attack. The voice reminds me also of these two band. An interesting arrangement, with very slow rhythm, and good vocals Very listenable.
the best is at the end... Good song !
***
a heavy reliance on digital 'virtual' instrumentation, works well with this song. beautiful vocal work, with a unique delivery. also great tone when the guitar kicks in, nice addition. props on a cool track.

Mixture Pop, Electronic, Ambient and Jazz.
It's starting spacy and electronic. It's like I heard the voice before. This is surprising and exiting. The rhythm is catchy, the voice is beautiful, the arrangement fantastic with all kinds of sounds and effects making the song nowhere the same.

Climax is great,
The lead vocals are great. The vocalist has a good command of her voice - she's sings on pitch and really moves the song forward.

Lovely voice. sweet! Evanescence like. You could be huge if you are hot!
***Where Will I Be Tomorrow?" - Hopefully In The Chart
For a whole minute, I was lost, submerged in a completely different world listening to these clean, soothing acapella vocals, floating further away with the synth buildup... only to be shot back down to earth and back into reality with the entry of the guitars. The vocals soar through this track brilliantly, and the haunting high notes only begin the chill that runs down your spine as the song progresses and almost seems to evolve. One true capturing point was the little guitar solo intermission at 1.37, a haunting yet protrudingly colourful note that adds to this atmosphere of being lost somewhere in the distance, with a blazing sun overhead and crashing waves below. It was almost a shame to know that the track was coming to an end, and I'm only thankful for the fact that there is a repeat button.

Beautiful job...
Pristine vocals, great production. Has a modern feel in its musical approach, but this girl's vocal style has a traditional, almost Irish, balladeer quality about it. I love it. I could enjoy listening to this over and over again. Relaxing, mesmerizing, in a word...beautiful.
****************************** you have a very beautiful honey voice. the backing music is very ambient and moving. nice sustaining notes vocally. this song contains a word in the lyrics that describes exactly how this song makes me feel.
Mesmerized. by the way you have your own original sound.
******************************The lyrics of this song is poetic and creative: describing how the blue eyes captures the woman's heart is not a common portrayal in regular conversations. This poetic song matched the style of its delivery where the music is slow and prolonged.
******************************Awesome!
Arrangement: You had me from the get go. The guitars, the keys, the piano. All where it should be.
Vocals: Well there's just no way to put it any better than this girl has great chops. I hear a bit of an Irish lilt to it but maybe I'm wrong. Dead sexy whatever it is.
Who do you sound like: I'm not sure. It's like a mix between Sigur Ros, The Cranberries and Pink Floyd. Very cool regardless.
******************************I love the intro chords.
The lead vocals are very inviting and could make any room turn quiet, the moment she begins to sing. The arrangement is perfect.**********************review
this track is highly emotional.. the piano and guitar are wonderfully played. the strings sound authentic and blends in perfectly in the song. the lead vocals are simply beautiful. her voice is deep and she manages to do justice to the lyrics. the production is flawless - everything sounds crystal clear here. beautifully composed track with amazing vocals. thhis no gimmick - its the real deal.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LA RECORDING ARTIST AIRS ON AFN IRAQ
Artist shows support for the troops and their families
Staci Marlo has released her first single off her soon to be released debut album, for airplay exclusively on AFN (American Forces Network) Iraq.
The album cut titled Lonely Road Home is currently on rotation on AFN and reaching thousands of US and coalition forces in the Iraqi theatre of operations.
In a recent phone interview, Staci said, “I was looking for new material my upcoming album when our good friend Chad Watson played me a song he had co-written with Danny Dickerson a number of years ago titled Lonely Road Home. I wanted to do something to show my support for the troops and their families but didn’t know exactly how to go about it.”
“After watching a segment on the news about a unit that was shipping out to Iraq from Camp Pendleton, it hit me that Lonely Road Home was the perfect song for the troops and their families. There are families and loved one’s that are separated right now and I felt that the lyrics of the song eloquently conveyed how someone must feel to be missing a loved one.”
“Although we are working on completing the rest of the album, which should hopefully be finished soon! We didn’t want to wait on getting Lonely Road Home over to the troops. Once I knew the reason why I had to record the song, I wanted to get it over to them as soon as possible. We worked with the wonderful staff of Freedom Radio AFN-Iraq, who agreed to put it on the air. It’s currently exclusive on AFN Iraq. While we plan on a much wider release here in the States later this year, we wanted the song to be exclusively for the troops, for now.”
“I just wanted to let them know we we’re thinking of them and their families, wishing they stay safe and come home soon.”
A sample of the song, lyrics and credits are available at Staci’s website. An MP-3 of the song as well as a CD single is available for purchase as well at: www.stacimarlo.com
Look for the full release of Staci’s upcoming debut album later this fall. More info on the release date will be available on her website in the near future.
