Sean Waterman
Sean Waterman was born in Brooklyn, NY and started playing guitar at the age of nine and immediately hated the instrument. His mother wouldn't allow him to quit so he kept on playing. When Sean was fourteen, his family moved to Atlanta, GA and soon there after Sean discovered he really liked the guitar. Sean started college at The Citadel, a military college in Charleston, SC and there, he began writing songs in his spare time and by sophomore year, he had over forty songs. During the summers, Sean would perform at bars in and around Charleston. "I realized I had a bunch of songs and no experience performing, so I just started begging bar owners to let me play". Towards the end of the summer before his junior year, Sean was performing nearly four nights a week and writing new songs between gigs. "That was good for me to have those gigs and having new songs all the time because I could try them out and see if people liked them or not, or better yet, whether I liked them or not. Sometimes you think a song is cool until you catch yourself singing it live and then you realize it isn't all that you thought it was." In the time since, Sean has played at numerous venues and will add to that list as part of a collaborative southeast tour beginning this year. He will be releasing a full-length LP with independent label Full Code Recordings later this year and has also started his own publishing company, Loose Change Music.
