Ro passionately known as Ro The Soul Diamond from Washington, DC is an upcoming R&B artist has been labeled by many as “The next generation of R&B singers.” A vocal powerhouse, Ro rises as an undisputed Phoenix in the wake of some of the greatest vocal songmasters of all time. Some of the greats such as Gerald Levert, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson have had such an influence on Ro, that it is evident that their memories, of love, passion anger and lust continue to live in the music the he creates.
In March 2007, Ro competed in the very first season of the online podcast of Famecast (
www.famecast.com) out of 30,000 contestants, Ro finished in the top five, which landed him a trip to perform a live broadcast in Austin, Texas. Ro finished the competition in third place with more than a 177,000 views and votes. In early 2008, Ro’s musical talent reached super mogul R&B mixtape extraordinaire DJ King Nade of the world famous Fleet DJ’s. After a series of song releases on King Nade’s R&B mixtapes, Ro worked a deal to release an R&B album mixtape collaboration called the entitled the “Story of Ai”, which was released Feb 14, 2009 . Astonishingly, his fans are from every genre of music including country, rock, and hip hop, presenting him as one of the most diversified R&B singers found today. As a writer and publisher through ASCAP, Ro founded AK-Lee Diamondz music in hopes to get his music to touch not only his fans, but through voices and talents of other fellow artist as well. Ro is also working on his own label called The Core Records in which he hopes to give back his musical talents as a music mogul.
Ro The Soul Diamond is working to secure a musical relationship with a major record label.
