Ragz
Ragz is a singer/songwriter born and raised in a land coloured by
northern lights and fairytale creatures. With her rich, sustained
voice, skilled musicianship and gorgeous, occasionally dark, tunes,
Ragz has gained many fans and favorable comparisons to Feist, Joni Mitchell, Suzanne Vega and even Jeff Buckley.
After a busy 2008, which included the eagerly awaited release of Ragz' Little Stings EP, two extensive tours of the UK and one in Norway, Ragz has also found the time to record four tracks from the recent‘ Bedroom Recordings Sessions’ with her new band. This new release is set to be ready for February 2009 and sweet little taster are already available on her mysapce.
Originally hailing from a tiny, forest-surrounded town in the south
East of Norway, Ragz first came to Liverpool in 2002, and has since
cemented herself into the musical folklore of her new home and
developed her craft on stages across the UK, supporting the likes of
Laura Marling, Noah and the Whale, Vijay Kishore, David Ford, Adem,
Karima Francis, and Ian McNabb.
Early 2009 will feature series of select dates, including a joint
headline show with TJ & Murphy at the Bluecoat on 10th April.
