A.V. Club review (The Onion)
"No one should enter A Good Thing, the new album by Denver singer-songwriter Rachael Pollard, thinking the title is meant to describe the music therein. And yet, it's hard not to read a little something into it: bearing Pollard's characteristic understatement and even a dose of poignant humility, the disc's title track pairs her acidly, richly sweet voice with the eroded growl of the soulful Elden Jones. The chemistry is breathtaking, but it's underpinned with subtle regret and an almost fatalistic joy...'Oops I Did It Again'-no, not the one you're thinking of-is a showcase for her dancing, lilting fretwork, although the bouyancy is punctured by bittersweet and darkly funny lines.."- Jason Heller May 29-June 4, 2008
