Paul Daniel is a powerful singer/songwriter and guitarist who pairs vivid scenes with unforgettable musical hooks. He’ll wrap you up in a story with a rich baritone voice that in one fan’s opinion “is the kind of sexy that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.” His songs balance potent lyrics with a guitar sound that draws influences from folk, rock, blues, country and bluegrass. Paul began playing while attending college in Minnesota and regularly played shows in Minneapolis and St. Paul before relocating to Raleigh, NC. Paul grew up surrounded by music. His father was a legendary disc jockey in New York City and at an early age, Paul was going to concerts, creating homemade radio shows and learning as much about the music he heard as he possibly could. Paul played organ, clarinet, saxophone and violin before finding his calling with a guitar. Paul recently released an EP, “Shine in Use,” that shows off a versatile folk rock sound and lyrics that move between the plaintive, the tender and the sarcastic.
