Mystic Fields
Mystic Fields are Callum Mackay (Guitar/vocals) and Jess Ball (Synth/keyboard). After being inspired by acts at The Falls Festival, Callum set up a website to find others also wanting to start a band. Local drummer Amy joined followed by Jess who conveniently lived just around the corner from where they practice. The Melbourne teenagers formed in August 2008 with a passion to make unique music to get people dancing. The band decided on their name after combining a lyric from their first track “High Kicks, Low Fives” and the location of where the track was recorded at NMIT Fairfield. Amy later decided to pursue other interests as Callum and Jess continued to have fun writing and playing music in a garage. Electro? Indie? Dance? Pop? Call it what you will, Mystic Fields…
