About munook

Munook is David Lanier (Ninja Dave)... he began his training and love for music at a young age, piano first and then classical guitar. David started the band "Thousand Hour Day" in 1997; performing at Panoply in Huntsville, Alabama, regularly in Birmingham, Alabama, and winning Battle of The Bands and performing in Nashville, Tennessee. After "Thousand Hour Day" split, he began to work alone. Inspired by Bjork, he turned to digital and electric equipment. David has spent the last 5 years developing a style and learning to operate digital and electric equipment to create his unique sound. David is currently in school learning to mix and produce his won music. On May 15, 2008 Munook won Round One at Cafe Coco, Miller Lite Music Makers Contest; and winning fourth place in Round Two on June 19, 2008.
