Malik Started playing five years ago.since the age of twelve i wanted to be in a band.but that would not happen till the year 2003.i picked up the guitar in 1988 and tried to learn but i wasn't serious.so years would pass and i still never persued music untill 05.but every one in the band had hang ups.so i taught myself to play piano,drums bass.at this point in my life i want to work
with other artist who have a desire to make good quality music. i am trying to produce good music period.no matter what kind i dont care.jazz is what you hear from me but i might be doing r&b, country western or pop and rapp beats next week.music is music. and i am the band.no Samples Period.i just write how i feel at the momment. all Artist will confess the simple Fact is music deals with
exspressions.my way of playing and producing songs may differ from many artist.Piano is the root to every song.
However some might start with another method.i hear a meloy in my mind and i try to have a pocket voice recorder with me to at least put it on there so when i get home i wo'nt be have forgotin it.if i'm at home i might wake up with the melody in my mind,and go to the piano and work it out from that point is how i Create,every song i
write.
Who knows how it will come out?no one knows until it's done.i really do'nt know where this music will take me,
just like from the begining when i started out.i do not have, or play in a band.i am a Producer more than anything.
I try and always will have Origiality.although i have many
Artist that gave me so
much Inspiration.too many to name but some people get ispired every day.I do know that Dexter Wansel,Issac Hayes,Herbie Hancock and Bob Jamesmade me want to give it a try,not to mention Larry Dunn,the original Piano player for E,W,F.Had a huge influence on my style today.but i do'nt copy Artist styles,i just write what comes.
