Singer-Songwriter/Guitarist/Entertainment Attorney Jeff Brown has been a recognized solo artist in the Chicago acoustic scene for several years. A seasoned member of various metal and hardcore bands in the area, Jeff made the switch to the more delicate side in 2004, combining an earthy foundation of heartfelt acoustic folk with the driving force of a healthy love for heavy metal.
Jeff claims influences from artists as widely diverse as Martin Sexton, Radiohead, and Damien Rice to Iron Maiden, Alice in Chains, and Slayer. And while the heavier days appear to be over, Jeff still pulls the occasional Maiden cover or blistering guitar solo out of his sleeves if asked nicely.
Occasionally performing with other musicians in off-the-cuff collaborations, the time came to put together a semi-permanent collection of friends and musicians in the summer of 2007... Since then, he's been known to play alone, as a duo, a trio, or an extra-large trio.
Jeff doesn't much like talking himself up. So he usually doesn't. He writes, he sings, he plays, he practices entertainment law, and that's pretty much it.
He has a pretty good voice. He likes to play guitar. He doesn't dance much. He writes songs that make people feel good. He likes it when people say 'hi' to him after shows. He's real bad at playing 'Guitar Hero III'.
