About Eskille

Eskille was born in November of 1980 at Mulenberg Hospital. Growing up on one of the main streets in Plainfield, New Jersey Eskille got the chance to experience different cultures in many ways. As a young child Eskille had to deal with the emotional stress of an alcoholic father. Both mentally and physically abused, Eskille used music as a way to vent the frustrations of a not so happy childhood. With both of his parents in his life and together, Eskille wasn’t necessarily raised up in poverty but the outside influences of his neighborhood were starting to take effect. His parents couldn’t supply his list growing demands so Eskille hit the streets. Falling into the glamorous life of drug dealing, (oh so he thought) Eskille started smoking marijuana at the tender age of thirteen. Being that Eskille's mother is a Jehovah's witness and father a born again Christian (once he became sober) Eskille's parents didn't know how to treat a teenage drug user and did the only thing they knew of. At the age of fourteen, Eskille was taken out of school and put into an outpatient drug rehab. The stubborn Sagittarius that Eskille is, he left home with his parents to live with his brother. In the mist of all the changes Eskille dropped out of school in the eleventh grade and has been nearly homeless ever since. With music running through the veins of other family members, Eskille became inspired to choose music as his career.

In 1995, Eskille started off as a battle rapper known as Duce Infinit, figuring as long as his lyrics were tight enough to take out any emcee it would be smooth sailing into the fabulous life of hip hop. Eskille's older brother realized the path Eskille was going in and gave Eskille the best advice ever. "Study the business and the music it's self ". Since then Eskille has been evolving as a well-rounded artist in a faster rate of speed than any average "rapper". In 1998, Eskille met up with a group of other artists he was friends with in Plainfield. He felt they were as focused as he was in starting a career in music. The 4 emcees called themselves R Double N. As an important member of R Double N, Eskille was able to accomplish releasing a self-titled group album along with several original music mix tapes. At the same time the R Double N was getting started Eskille and his alter ego Duce Infinit was involved with an independent hip-hop label called Ravenous Records. Things didn't go so well for Ravenous Records due to disorganized artists and company as a whole. On the other side, R Double N just became more dedicated and eventually formed an entertainment company (LLC), moved a multitude of units and rocked shows up and down the east coast. With Universal Records and Warner Brothers knocking on R Double N's door it all boiled down to one performance at the NYC Music Fest in 2003! At the time Eskille was unable to attend the show do to incarceration for a minor municipal violation. The show indeed went on and it worked out perfectly. A few A&R’s wanted to hear more music and anticipation grew among the members who were certain a record deal was soon to follow. Although everything was moving forward music wise, tension began to rise between members of the group. Some members were dealing with consequences from other situations and other members wanted to go solo. Then a near fatal accident Eskille was involved in with another member of the group turned out to become a huge roadblock in their path for success. Then things fell apart indefinitely when one member decided to change his life and give his life to the Lord (which isn't a bad thing). Eskille was devastated by the change of events and almost quit doing music at all.

Years passed as Eskille watched the art form he loves go down the tube to unreal music. Music that would have been ridiculed and unaccepted in the Golden Era of Hip Hop Eskille had came to love and respect was now being accepted by the masses and moving units. Unable to sit back any longer Eskille rose up out his funk and began recording again; doing shows and continuing to master his craft. Not knowing the direction (musically) Eskille wanted to move in, Eskille decided to let the music speak to him. Since the versatility of Eskille is never ending, any track, any topic is no problem for this superb writer and performer. Unable to find any other artist to compare to Eskille he is definitely one of a kind. His debut solo mixtape/album is currently being completed slated for a Summer 2008 release.

As for now Eskille is focused on hits, hits and more hits. Of course being a black man living in an urban area has its trials and tribulations so Eskille has decided to leave the streets alone and dedicate his life to what he loves. "I must say as an all around music lover Eskille is fit for any genre. I never heard an artist with so much style and ability to recreate his self in so many ways. Whether as Duce Infinit or Eskille this artist is more than the truth, he should rename his self to Neo (Matrix not the singer) because he is the ONE” says one of his loyal fans.
