Elijah Dixon:born in Brooklyn New York, the 6th of 9 children. Because of his mother's love of music, and to keep her clan in check, she gave them instruments, and turned her clan into a band. Elijah Dixon:born in Brooklyn New York, the 6th of 9 children. Because of his mother's love of music, and to keep her clan in check, she gave them instruments, and turned her clan into a band. Elijah would listen to his mother sing while they played, and decided at an early age that he too wanted to sing. Elijah says he can hardly remember a time when there was no music playing in the house. He grew up listening to the likes of Stevie Wonder, Donny Hathaway, the Chilites, Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Steel Pulse and many more. At the tender age of 10, his family moved to Jamaica, where he continued his upbringing in a small district in the hills of St. Ann. At times he would run bare foot, fish, and catch water, loving and appreciating the natural habitat of the land, where there was always melodic sounds, from the water, to the wind, to the chirping birds. In this Elijah would always hear a song, which was sweet melodies to his ears. Elijah loved to sing, and would sing at any chance he got. Singing at hotels, outings, weddings wherever he could, in doing so he developed his own style and sound, which he refuses to be put into any one category, because of it's natural mystic. In his teenage years, he got together with some friends and formed Access, a group of young persons in search of the same thing, Later he along with another member of Access formed Two Souls, working out of UB40's studio in oracabessasa st mary they released two powerful!! songs, Freedom and Kumbaya. Elijah was invited to join the Black Male Band from Kingston, in doing so he got a chance to sing at the 2006 Air Jamaica Jazz and Blues festival, as well at Heros park at a show put on by the great dean frazier, After singing at the park, he got a call from the leader of Live Wyya to be their lead singer.While with Live Wyya he toured the US, Europe & Japan. Elijah have had the honor to share the stage with the likes of such greats as Gregory Issacs, Marcia Griffins, Sanchez, Lee scrach Perry, & Sly & Robbie, just to name a few. Because he always had a song in his heart and head, he felt a need to pay respect and homage to his mother for her love of song, which gave him his passion. He wrote and sang lead on a very soulful & powerful song, that shows his mastery of artistry, MASTER PIECE. Now as a solo artist, armed with a unique yet interesting vocals style and such an impeccable and rich range elijah is poised for greatness. He is now working under his own label (triumphantrootz) with his unique and universal sound of freedom, love, honor and respect, Elijah will be taking the world by a storm with his present single We Must Go On.
